These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the sale of periodicals on the website magazines.venturesmedia.be

magazines.venturesmedia.be is published by Ventures Media, a company incorporated under Belgian law as a public limited company (naamloze vennootschap), with registered office at Chaussée de Louvain 431D, 1380 Lasne (BELGIUM), registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0437339742.

Sales agreements concluded via magazines.venturesmedia.be are entered into between the customer and Ventures Media, a company incorporated under Belgian law, and its commercial subscriptions division.

ARTICLE 1 - PRICES

1.1 - The prices stated include VAT and handling costs. Postage costs may be charged depending on the delivery address (abroad) or for magazines dispatched from abroad. 

1.2 - In the event of an order to a country other than Belgium, the customer is regarded as the importer of the ordered product(s). For all products shipped outside the European Union, the price is automatically calculated excluding VAT on the invoice. Customs duties or other regional taxes, import duties or state levies may be payable. These duties and amounts do not fall within the responsibility of Ventures Media. They are borne by the customer and are entirely the customer's responsibility, both as regards declarations and payments to the competent authorities and/or institutions of the customer's country. Ventures Media advises its customers to obtain information on this from their respective authorities.

1.3 - All orders are payable in euros, regardless of their origin.

1.4 - Ventures Media reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Products are nevertheless invoiced on the basis of the rates in force at the time the orders are registered, subject to availability. The products remain the property of Ventures Media until the price has been paid in full.

1.5 - Current promotions cannot be combined with one another: promotional codes, vouchers or special discounts. If the customer holds a promotional code, Ventures Media compares its discount with the current promotion and the customer receives the larger discount. Discount vouchers cannot be exchanged for their monetary value or refunded in whole or in part. Promotional codes are valid for a limited time only. After the stated period, your discount is definitively lost. Promotional codes are valid only for fixed-term subscriptions.

 

ARTICLE 2 - ORDERS

Orders are placed online, on the website magazines.venturesmedia.be

 

ARTICLE 3 - CONFIRMATION

By clicking 'Confirm' after placing the order, the customer declares that they accept it in full and without reservation, as well as these General Terms and Conditions of Sale. The data recorded by Ventures Media constitutes proof of all transactions between Ventures Media and its customers.

Ventures Media accepts payments by debit card and credit card. If you choose to pay by payment card, the amount is debited from your card immediately once the payment has been confirmed.

The data recorded by the payment system constitutes proof of the financial transactions. Ventures Media confirms acceptance of the order to the email address provided by the customer. Ventures Media reserves the right to cancel any order from a customer where there is a dispute relating to a previous order.

 

ARTICLE 4 - AVAILABILITY

Products offered free of charge upon taking out a subscription are offered while stocks last. Offers are valid subject to availability at the publisher. In the event that a product becomes unavailable after the customer has placed their order, Ventures Media will inform the customer as soon as possible by email or, failing that, by post. The customer may request cancellation or exchange of their order by writing to:

The gifts included with subscriptions are valid in Belgium only.

 

ARTICLE 5 - DELIVERY

The products are delivered to the delivery address provided by the customer during the ordering process.

The delivery time is as follows:


  • For monthly magazines: 4 to 6 weeks after payment – Maximum period: 10 weeks

  • For quarterly magazines: 4 to 12 weeks after payment – Maximum period: 14 weeks.

These periods correspond to the processing times of the publishers, pre-sorting and dispatch by post within (or to) Belgium. After this maximum period, the customer may demand cancellation and refund of their purchase.

Once the subscription has started, the magazines are dispatched at regular intervals on their publication date.


ARTICLE 6 - SECURITY

The website magazines.venturesmedia.be is equipped with a security system: in addition to the SSL encryption protocol implemented by magazines.venturesmedia.be, everything has also been reinforced with scrambling and encryption processes in order to protect all sensitive data relating to payment methods as effectively as possible.

 

ARTICLE 7 - SATISFIED OR YOUR MONEY BACK

7.1 - The customer has a period of 14 days from the date of their order to cancel it and request a refund.

7.2 - Refunds are made within 30 days of receipt of the request. The refund is made by transfer to the customer's bank account, in the name of the customer who placed the order at the billing address.

7.3 - Cash-on-delivery shipments are not accepted, for any reason whatsoever.

ARTICLE 9 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All texts, commentary, magazines, illustrations and images on the website magazines.venturesmedia.be are protected by copyright as well as by intellectual property rights, worldwide. For this reason, only private use is permitted, subject to any different and even more restrictive provisions applicable to the website magazines.venturesmedia.be. Any other use may be regarded as counterfeiting and is punishable by law, unless prior authorisation has been obtained from Ventures Media SA. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, of the catalogue of the website magazines.venturesmedia.be is strictly prohibited.

 

ARTICLE 10 - LIABILITY

The magazines offered comply with the applicable Belgian legislation. Ventures Media's liability may be invoked in the event of non-compliance with the legislation of the country in which the magazines are delivered (a ban on a title, etc.). It is the customer's responsibility to check with the local authorities whether they are permitted to import or use the magazines they wish to order. The photographs and texts in the magazines offered are not contractually binding. Ventures Media can therefore not be held liable for any errors in any of these photographs or texts.

Ventures Media cannot be held responsible for non-performance of the concluded contract in the event of a stock shortage or unavailability of the product, force majeure, a disruption or total or partial strike affecting in particular the postal services and the means of transport and/or communication, flooding or fire.

Ventures Media cannot be held liable for indirect damage, operating losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or damage or costs arising from these general terms and conditions.

 

ARTICLE 11 - APPLICABLE LAW - DISPUTES

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by Belgian law.

In the event of a dispute concerning the interpretation or performance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, only the courts of Brussels shall have jurisdiction.

 

ARTICLE 12 - PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal data is processed with the utmost care and in accordance with applicable law.
